This is a draft.

Callso has not launched. This page sets out what we intend to do with your information, but it has not been through a solicitor yet and it is not a contract. The finished version lands before we take a single payment.

Callso answers phone calls on behalf of businesses, so we handle recordings of people who never signed up with us. That deserves a straight explanation rather than four thousand words of hedging.

Calls are recorded, and callers are told

Every Callso receptionist says the call is recorded, in the greeting, before anything else happens. That line is built into the product and a business owner cannot remove it.

We record and transcribe calls so the owner can check what was said, so bookings can be verified, and so we can tell when the receptionist got something wrong.

What we hold

Recordings and transcripts of calls to a Callso number. The caller's phone number, and whatever they tell the receptionist - typically a name, an address, and what they want doing.

For the business owner: the account details, the business information the receptionist was taught, and the billing records Stripe needs.

How long we keep it

Recordings are deleted after 90 days by default. Clinics and law firms default to 30 days, because those calls can carry health information or privileged detail, and the owner can extend or shorten that.

Ask us to delete a recording and we delete it. A caller can ask the business, or ask us directly.

Who else sees it

The business you rang, and the suppliers who make the call work - the voice platform, the phone network, the calendar you booked into. They are processors: they handle the data to run the service and for nothing else.

We do not sell anything to anybody, and we do not use your calls to train a general-purpose model.

Getting in touch

Email hello@callso.co.uk and a person will answer. If you want your data, or want it gone, say so and we will do it.
